The taxonomic revision of the orchid subtribes Spiranthinae, Stenorrhynchidinae and Cyclopogoninae (Orchidaceae) in Mesoamerica and the Antilles is based on more than 1800 herbarium species from 36 herbaria: 170 species from 35 genera.

There is no general index, species are not published in alphabetical order. Each genus, with references, and each species is described and illustrated with pen drawings and also colour photos and maps.
This book gives a lot of information for people with interest in this group of orchids within the Spirantheae.
