Phalaenopsis amabilis (L.) Bl. section Phalaenopsis In 1750 Rumphius described this species as Angraecum album majus (Herb. Amboin. 6: 99,t. 43, 1750.) and several other autors described the same species under different names till Blume in 1825 the Genus Phalaenopsis described based on this Phalaenopsis species. It's an easy to grow Phalaenopsis species even on window-sill. This species grows inQueensland (Australia), New Guinea, The Philippines and the Indonesian islands. |
