Angraecum eburneum Bory This Angraecum species from Aldabra, Comoros, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Réunion, Seychelles and Tanzania grows epifytic or lithofytic. The fowers have a short spur (max. 7 cm). The root system of this species needs a well drained but moist preserving compost. Avoid direct sunlight but a lot of light is needed to have flowers. |

Plant for culture in the intermediate greenhouse, needs a lot of light but no direct sun. Needs a dry rest during wintertime in northern hempsphere (greenhouse humidity 70-90 %). Flowers from May till end of October. |
Angraecum sesquipedale Thouars Angraecum sesquipedale is an epifyt fro m Madagascar. The sometimes 10 cm big, ivory white flowers have a very long spur: about 30 cm long. The flowers have an unique pollinator, the Xanthopan morganii praedicta. This is an orchid species for temperate-warm culture. |

sororium Schltr. Angraecum sororium is endemic in Madagascar. thsi species has a reputation to be difficult in cutlure. It's a plant for rather colder culture circumstances with a lot of light and a good air circulation. |
